Ludo.ai launched Ludo CLI on October 19, a command-line tool that generates game assets from a terminal or from inside Claude Code, GamesBeat reported. It produces sprites, animations, textures, 3D models, video, sound effects, music and voice.
According to GamesBeat, the CLI supports batch scripts, per-project engine and style settings, and credit limits. It installs through npm or npx and is part of Ludo's Pro and Studio plans.
On October 27, Ludo added a free Asset Toolbox, Make Game With AI reported. It's a set of 32 local CLI tools for coding agents, and it needs no account or credits.
The tools handle the routine work between generating an asset and getting it into a game. They can scale sprites, set pivots and fit colliders, and export Godot SpriteFrames, Unity metadata and TexturePacker JSON.
Other tools check palettes, outlines and seams. An asset manifest command finds missing assets, audio tools check loudness and clicks at loop points, and a model info command inspects 3D files.
Why it matters: generating an asset is only part of the job. The rest is the slow work of making it fit an engine's import rules, and making that step free and scriptable lets agents check their own output before a person sees it.
It's the same "verify before handing over" approach showing up in engine tooling in October. The free tools also act as an entry point to Ludo's paid generation service.
Caveat: the features described here come from the outlets credited below and haven't been independently tested.
The toolbox code is MIT-licensed and needs Ludo CLI 0.2.0 or later and Node 20 or later. Telemetry is on by default; set LUDO_TELEMETRY=0 to turn it off.
