BlueprintsLab has released Ultimate Engine CoPilot V2, an update to its AI plugin for Unreal Engine 5, in a press release dated October 3. The company says the plugin now ships 1,655 native tools across 37 extensions.
According to the press release, V2 agents can build Blueprints, C++, VFX, levels, UI, animation and cinematics inside the Unreal Editor, then compile the result, play the level and check it.
A "Crew" mode splits the work between a Planner, a Worker and a Reviewer, each running on its own model. A step only counts as done once the Reviewer passes it.
Other listed features include converting Blueprints to C++, automated multiplayer playtests with up to 8 clients, Unreal Insights profiling, and diffs and undo for AI edits, with Git and Perforce support.
The plugin can run on BlueprintsLab's hosted "BpLabs Premium" model, on a developer's own API keys, on local models through Ollama or LM Studio, or through coding agents including Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot and Gemini CLI. Its documentation now lists Unreal Engine 5.5 to 5.8 on Windows, macOS and Linux.
As of October 29, BlueprintsLab's pricing page lists the Indie plan at $25 a month and the Studio plan at $80 a month, each with a monthly AI token pool, and a one-time license at $284.99 per seat for developers who bring their own keys or models. The release says Version 1 owners get V2 as a free update.
Why it matters: Unreal is a crowded market for agent tools, and the release itself names Aura, Ludus AI, NeoStack and Epic's own built-in MCP integration as competitors. Its focus on self-verification (compiling, playing and reviewing) matches what independent research such as Roblox's OpenGameEval suggests matters most for agents in stateful engines.
Caveat: every figure here comes from BlueprintsLab's press release, including the tool count, the "more than 3,400 developers" adoption claim and the claim that it is "five times better" than rivals. AIGamer hasn't tested the plugin, and no third party has verified these claims.
Linux, which the release listed as coming "soon," is now listed as supported in the plugin's documentation.
