How it was made: Leak described the setup in a blog post on February 23, 2026. His cavapoo, Momo, paws at a Bluetooth keyboard; DogKeyboard, a Rust program Leak wrote, relays her typing to Claude Code, Anthropic's coding agent, and rewards her with treats from a smart feeder once she has typed enough. Leak's prompt tells Claude Code that the gibberish is deliberate direction from an eccentric game designer, and according to the README the game came together over several rounds of Momo's typing, on a Claude Max subscription. The README says Claude Code wrote the game in C# on Godot 4.6, drew all the characters in code, rendered the nebula background with a shader and synthesized every sound, so the project contains no imported art or audio files. To keep it on track, Leak gave Claude Code tools to screenshot the running game, play it with scripted inputs, and lint its scenes and shaders, along with at least 48 unit tests that had to pass before any change went in. There are two builds, according to the release notes: v1.0 is exactly what Claude Code produced, with no human edits, while v1.1, the one Leak recommends, keeps the gameplay the same but includes bug fixes he made by hand, extra visual effects switched on and a higher resolution. Leak also posted a YouTube video of Momo making the game on February 24, 2026. He doesn't say how long Quasar Saz took to make (his post puts a typical game at 1 to 2 hours from Momo's first keystrokes to a playable build) or which Claude model built it.

Summary
Quasar Saz is a free arcade shooter for Windows, macOS and Linux. The player controls Zara, a teal alien musician who battles enemies made of corrupted sound, using a saz (a stringed instrument with a long neck) as her weapon. The project's README on GitHub describes 6 waves of enemies leading up to a three-phase boss fight with the Dissonance King, and a weapon that evolves through three forms, each with its own attack pattern. Developer Caleb Leak (cleak on GitHub) published downloadable builds on the repo's releases page on February 22, 2026, and the source code is MIT-licensed.
