How it was made: the developer, simoasis, says on the game's itch.io page, its Lexaloffle forum post and the game's own site that it was made with the help of AI, naming Claude by Anthropic. The itch.io page's AI disclosure tags list code, graphics, sounds and text as AI-assisted. None of those pages say which tools, if any besides Claude, were used for the art or the music. The PICO-8 version went up on itch.io on October 25, 2026, and on the Lexaloffle forum a day later.

Summary
Season Runners is a free jump-and-run in which the setting depends on today's date. Its eight worlds run through the year, from a carnival that starts on January 3 to spring, a summer beach, autumn, Halloween, winter, Christmas and New Year's Eve fireworks, each with its own characters, enemies, colors and music, according to the game's About page. Players jump across floating platforms picking up seasonal items, and one fall ends the run. The main web version at seasonrunners.com can be played in 2D or 3D on a phone, tablet or computer, with touch, keyboard or gamepad controls, and has 15 drivable vehicles and a worldwide leaderboard for signed-in players (guests can play without an account, but their scores stay local). A Duo mode lets two players run the same level at the same time. A second, smaller version is built for the PICO-8 fantasy console at 128 by 128 pixels, with 14 vehicles, an optional 3D view and English and German text; it can be played on its itch.io page or from the developer's post on the Lexaloffle forum.
