How it was made: Li Game Academy calls Skill Lines an "AI-assisted vibe-coding tutorial project" in its README, and says a person directed the design, coding, testing and iteration while working with Cursor and OpenAI Codex / ChatGPT. According to the README, AI was used for the code, the written text and the promotional cover, its output was reviewed and tested, and the gameplay screenshots are captures of the actual game; the AI disclosure on the itch.io page lists code, graphics and text. The complete Godot 4.7.2 project is on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license, together with automated tests that use the GUT testing framework, so readers can study how it was built. The developer doesn't say how long the game took to make, which model versions it used, or how much of the code was written by hand; the GitHub repository was created in September 2023, well before the first browser preview on October 8, 2026.

Summary
Skill Lines is a free puzzle game from Li Game Academy, which makes Godot tutorials, and it plays in the browser on itch.io as an early preview build (version 0.0.2), according to the developer's itch.io page and GitHub README. The idea is five-in-a-row with roguelite skill builds: on a 9ร9 board you move colored geometric pieces along open paths, and any line of five or more matching colors, in any direction including diagonals, disappears and scores. Moves that don't clear a line drop new pieces onto the board, and the run is over when no empty cells remain. Each score threshold lets you pick one of three skill cards, which feed builds such as Blast Cores and row and column sweepers that level up and set each other off. Version 0.0.2, posted on October 15, 2026, added a stage challenge of eight score targets next to the classic endless mode. The developer labels it a Web preview and itch.io lists it as in development: it's built for desktop browsers with a mouse and keyboard, it has no touch controls, and the developer says the balance is still experimental. It's available in English and Simplified Chinese.
