Roblox
Roblox builds AI into Studio and opens it to outside agents. Its Assistant guide says Assistant can add and edit objects and scripts, pull in Creator Store assets, generate materials, and create meshes and procedural models (up to 50 procedural models per rolling 24 hours). In an April 15, 2026, post, Roblox engineering SVP Nick Tornow announced a better planning mode and a Playtesting Agent, in beta, that drives the player character like an automated tester to check a game against its plan. He added that 44% of Roblox's top 1,000 creators use Assistant or outside AI tools through MCP, a standard that lets agents call Studio's tools.
Outside skill packs build on Studio's built-in MCP server. Scenario's Roblox Studio skills use it to run Luau code, start playtests and capture the screen, according to the pull request that added them, merged on October 20 (skill packs explained).
Agents still struggle. OpenGameEval, a benchmark posted to arXiv by Eray Turkel and colleagues on October 1, 2026, with code on Roblox's GitHub, ran 13 leading models on 84 Studio tasks. The best model solved 51.7% on one attempt; six tasks went unsolved by every model. On scene-only tasks, runs that first inspected every object the reference solution touches passed 13.4 points more often than runs that inspected none (our story).

What to watch: a shorter version of the paper appears at a NeurIPS 2026 workshop on evaluating interactive agents.
