Rosebud AI is a browser-based game maker. Its homepage asks you to describe your game or pick a template, and you then build and change it by chatting with the AI; the default model is called Rosie. Every plan, including the free one, includes hosting, so a finished game gets a link you can share.
All AI work is paid for in credits. Rosebud's pricing page gives rough costs: about 2,000 credits for an edit with Rosie, about 20,000 with a premium model and about 1,000 for a sound or a 3D model. The free Newbie plan gives 8,000 credits a week in eligible regions, which covers only a few edits. Paid plans run from Indie Dev at $15 a month to Scale at $100, as of October 2026.
What you can do with the result depends on the plan. Indie Dev and up add private projects and a code tab for editing the code in the browser. According to the pricing FAQ, full commercial rights start at 10x Dev ($30), and downloading your code or exporting a Windows build for Steam starts at Pro ($50).
Rosebud also hosts games made elsewhere for free: its developer page describes an open-source command-line tool that agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor can use to publish a build.
Rosebud suits beginners who want something playable quickly. If you plan to sell the game or move it to your own engine, budget for the higher plans. AIGamer hasn't tested it.
